Mr. Dore also secured the convictions of two high-ranking executives at an alcohol importer company on tax charges arising from a scheme to avoid paying excise taxes. In another case, Mr. Dore successfully prosecuted more than ten members of a multi-million dollar nationwide bank fraud conspiracy.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, Mr. Dore spent seven years litigating matters at Gibson Dunn. He also played significant roles in the successful defense of a major media company in a three-week arbitration involving profit participation claims regarding a syndicated television series, Intel Corporation's defense of antitrust claims by its largest competitor, and the defense of corporate executives at a large health care company in an SEC investigation and subsequent civil action.
Mr. Dore has been published in multiple journals, including the Virginia Law Review, the Marquette Law Review, and the Columbia Science & Technology Law Review, with both trial and appellate courts citing his works. He also was a co-author of the "Pleading Standards" chapter in Securities Litigation: A Practical Guide, published by PLI.
