Michael Pettingill has substantial experience with a broad range of lending and structured finance transactions, particularly with respect to collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), commercial real estate, receivables, equipment and operating leases.

Mr. Pettingill represents investment advisers managing investments for insurers, CLOs, re-insurers, banks and other capital markets investors through credit derivatives, participations and separate accounts. In addition, he has extensive experience representing financial institutions in real estate term, construction and mezzanine loan programs, as well as mortgage loan portfolio acquisitions, workouts, credit-linked note programs, repackagings and various forms of securitizations. Mr. Pettingill also counsels clients on joint ventures, commercial real estate purchases and sales, regulatory matters and mergers and acquisitions, has experience representing landlords and tenants in retail and office leases, and has advised a nationally recognized rating agency on CMBS transactions.
