Michael S. Haynes is a partner in Gardere’s Financial Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group. He focuses his practice on financial workouts and restructurings, both in and out of court, and he has particular expertise in handling restructurings in the energy sector. Michael has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees, creditor and equity committees, and post-confirmation trusts in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings and bankruptcy-related litigation matters.
Prior to attending law school, Michael was a stockbroker for Fidelity Investments, where he held Series 7 and Series 63 FINRA (formerly NASD) licenses.
