Mike McCauley is a trial lawyer who has served as lead trial and arbitration counsel for Fortune 500 companies and other leaders in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, construction, and other industries. He has handled their most contentious, high-stakes cases, including consumer class actions, SEC investigations, securities class actions, construction disputes, product liability class actions, contract disputes, and unfair competition cases.

Mike has won many of his cases on dispositive motions. For those cases that have gone to trial, he has prevailed in all of them. Mike recently prevailed in a two-week arbitration for DIRECTV resulting in an award of more than $28 million and a complete victory on a $50 million counterclaim. The Daily Journal highlighted this trial victory as one of the top verdicts of 2010 in California. Mike also recently prevailed in a five week trial in Orange County Superior Court (Complex) for the Los Angeles Unified School District against a contractor asserting $90 million in damages against the School District for allegedly wrongfully terminating its contract.

Mike also has devoted significant time to pro bono matters through the years, including representing local municipalities in criminal jury trials. He is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, a member of the board of managers for the Stuart M. Ketchum Downtown YMCA, a founding board member of the Queen of Angels Foundation, a founding member of the Judicial Profile Committee for the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and a member of various charitable organizations, including the Knights of Columbus.
