Monica represents commercial entities in a variety of business litigation, labor and employment, and appellate matters. She also represents healthcare organizations in litigation and regulatory matters. Monica is a member of the firm’s appeals & issues group and has represented clients in numerous appeals before state and federal appellate courts. She also serves on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee, which makes recommendations to the North Carolina Supreme Court on issues of appellate procedure. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Monica clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Sarah Parker of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Monica has been named by Super Lawyers magazine as a “Rising Star.” She is also active in the legal community, serving as a member of the Board of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and Legal Aid of North Carolina.
