Nancy Franco

Nancy Franco focuses her practice on commercial litigation. Ms. Franco represents clients ranging from individuals to multinational corporations in such industries as financial services, healthcare, technology, and real estate. Her litigation experience includes land use, local government, financial services, antitrust, and securities matters. Ms. Franco has successfully disposed of numerous cases on summary judgment, demurrer, and through settlement negotiations.

Ms. Franco graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she was a member of the Board of Advocates’ Negotiations Team. Ms. Franco was an executive board member of the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal and the Boalt Hall Women’s Association. In addition, she was an active member of Students for Economic and Environmental Justice and La Raza Law Students Association.

During law school, Ms. Franco was a judicial extern to the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She was also a law clerk at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, Labor and Employment Division, as well as law clerk at a San Francisco law firm specializing in local government, land use, and environmental law. In addition, she participated in Centro Legal de la Raza’s workers’ rights clinics, providing labor and employment related advice to low-income, Spanish-speaking clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Franco worked for the Los Angeles City Council. In her capacity as field deputy for one of the councilmembers, she worked directly with community councils, local businesses, law enforcement, individual constituents, and various city departments to enhance the quality of life in Los Angeles. She was the lead on major projects such as addressing the need for affordable transportation, alleviating homelessness, and renovating recreational facilities.
