Niall E. O’Hegarty represents regulated entities in the insurance and financial services industry. He handles internal investigations, compliance matters and civil and commercial litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Niall served as the Acting First Assistant Counsel to Governor Andrew Cuomo where he oversaw the development and negotiation of major legislation, including budget and programmatic matters. During this time, he advised the Governor on legal issues relating to executive actions, policy initiatives, and the operations of nearly 100 State agencies, boards and public authorities. In addition, he advised the Governor on legal issues relating to the State's financial services and insurance sectors, State disaster response operations, and significant litigation.
