Nicholas A. Smith is a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Corporate Group. He leads the Technology & Outsourcing Group in New York. Mr. Smith joined Milbank in 2002.

Mr. Smith has extensive experience in negotiating and documenting IT and business process outsourcing transactions, application development and maintenance projects, and procurement and supply chain projects.

In addition to his experience in outsourcing, Mr. Smith has advised clients on transactions to develop technology-intensive infrastructure and customer-facing functions. He has advised clients on projects ranging from the development of new, custom-built communications networks to electronic health record solutions.

His clients have included DuPont, PepsiCo, Unilever, CVS Caremark, Johnson & Johnson, The Reader's Digest Association, the New York Stock Exchange, JPMorgan Chase, Broadridge Financial Solutions, CIT, Anchorage Capital Group, MTV Networks, ProSieben, Emdeon, TriZetto, Cincinnati Bell and LightSquared. In addition to his experience in the United States, Mr. Smith has led Milbank teams onsite in Europe and Asia.
