Nick concentrates his practice on the defense of complex products liability matters. He is well versed in developing and deploying creative defense strategies for Fortune 500 companies and other clients involved in complex mass tort litigation. He has led and played key roles on national litigation teams defending manufacturers of various products in high-profile cases that have spanned scores of jurisdictions across the country.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Nick was an associate in the Los Angeles office of an international litigation and business law firm, where he focused his practice in the area of pharmaceutical and medical device products liability litigation, including representation of many top tier companies in cutting-edge litigation. Most notably, Nick was instrumental in the defense of high-profile manufacturers in “bet-the-company” litigation involving thousands of claims coordinated in state and federal courts across the country. He also gained invaluable experience handling a wide variety of general litigation matters, from initial pleadings to fact and expert discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial in both state and federal court.

Earlier, while working with other law firms, Nick defended a variety of aerospace companies against cases involving major air disasters, toxic torts, and personal injuries related to a variety of airport incidents. His clients included aircraft engine manufacturers, component part manufacturers, and aviation service companies.

Nick has also been dedicated to providing underserved communities with access to legal services. Through his pro bono practice, he has assisted many underprivileged families to navigate California adoption proceedings.
