Nicholas James Whilt

Nick Whilt is a counsel in O’Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice within the Litigation Department. Nick represents clients in complex technical litigation including patent infringement actions, misappropriation of trade secret cases, and Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Nick has a background in computer science and has litigated cases involving Internet protocols, liquid crystal displays (LCD), media distribution systems, thin film transistors, video graphics processing, wireless communications standards, encryption standards, computer monitor technology, speech recognition software, and video games. His knowledge base additionally includes experience in software engineering, computer architecture, digital circuit design, and communications technologies, including computer networks, wired and wireless communications protocols, error detection and correction, modulation techniques for digital data transmission, spread spectrum techniques, encryption, and cellular communications systems.
