Mr. Ferland has a national bankruptcy practice and appears in bankruptcy courts throughout the country in complex, high-profile matters on behalf of creditors, landlords and other interested parties, including the purchasers of significant assets in bankruptcy court proceedings. Mr. Ferland has significant experience in finance, leasing, landlord-tenant issues, and provides general counsel to all levels of management in the shopping center industry. He provides advice regarding drafting and interpreting leases, reciprocal easement agreements and letters of intent, and is routinely called upon to commence and manage litigation and to resolve disputes concerning lease defaults, common area charges, development, security, access, counterfeit goods, co-tenancy clauses and premises liability.
