Nicole King is an associate in the firm’s Santa Monica Office. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation. Ms. King graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and was awarded the Fox Rothschild LLP Written Advocacy Award for Best Brief/Respondent-First Amendment (2010-11). Ms. King also served as an executive board member of the Black Law Students Association and as a member of the Women’s Law Association. In addition, she was a USC Law Scholarship Recipient and the Nassau Lawyers Association of Long Island Scholarship Recipient.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. King was a USC Family Law public interest fellow at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, where she provided counsel, advice and referrals to pro per clients pursuing paternity, dissolution and domestic violence actions. Additionally, Ms. King was a staff assistant to Congresswoman Barbara Lee of California’s 9th Congressional District, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, she worked on policy issues regarding art, science, technology and the Caribbean. Notably, Ms. King drafted text for H.R. 6255, The Next Steps for Haiti Act of 2008 and obtained sound co-sponsorship for its introduction in the House in June 2008. Ms. King also conducted outreach to gain Member co-sponsorship and placement on the floor calendar for a vote that resulted in the passage of a bill recognizing the significance of Caribbean American Heritage Month.
