Nora Schweighart focuses her practice in finance and restructuring, representing the interests of corporate debtors — as well as secured and unsecured creditors — in all aspects of corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. She counsels debtor clients in preparation for, filing of and emergence from Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 bankruptcies, as well as with out-of-court restructurings and debt-driven transactions. Nora counsels non-debtor and creditor clients with respect to a wide range of bankruptcy and insolvency issues, including the purchase of assets in bankruptcy sales (i.e., Section 363 sales), filing bankruptcy claims, negotiating settlements and reducing client exposure to bankruptcy risk.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Nora was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago. After earning her law degree, she started her legal career in Chicago with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
