Pamela Palmer is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Los Angeles and Orange County offices. She handles a wide range of complex business disputes with particular emphasis in securities litigation, class actions, derivative suits and corporate investigations. Ms. Palmer represents companies, officers, directors and accounting firms in fiduciary duty, business judgment and professional liability cases, as well as SEC and other regulatory matters, and merger and acquisition litigation. She advises boards and special committees in internal investigations involving whistleblowers, shareholder demands and auditor-initiated investigations. She also advises clients on corporate governance, disclosure, indemnification and D&O insurance coverage.
Ms. Palmer’s clients have included Fortune-ranked public companies, executives, boards, private companies, accounting firms and individuals involved in a wide range of industries, including technology, Internet and digital media, life sciences, medical devices, wireless communications, broadcasting, residential mortgage, financial services and commercial banking.
Ms. Palmer has counseled and defended clients and achieved dismissals, insurance-covered settlements and regulatory enforcement resolutions in actions and proceedings in federal and state courts.
Before joining Pepper, Ms. Palmer was a litigation partner with Latham & Watkins and a member of its Whistleblower Task Force and M&A Takeover Defense Group, and she served on the firm’s Ethics Committee. Before entering private practice, Ms. Palmer served as a law clerk on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
