He focuses his practice on U.S. and international trademark clearance, trademark portfolio management and protection and trademark and copyright licensing. Pat drafts sophisticated commercial agreements and provides advertising, unfair competition, consumer protection, internet and privacy law counseling. He represents companies in trademark and copyright dispute proceedings (including before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board), in domain name arbitration proceedings and in negotiating settlement agreements in these areas. Pat has extensive experience in trademark clearance and policing expertise, which is derived in part from his pre-law background working as a management team member and researcher with a leading trademark research firm.
