Paul A. Gennari

Paul A. Gennari is of counsel in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Gennari’s experience includes litigation and counseling regarding intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent litigation.

He has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in patent infringement and trade secret litigation before the International Trade Commission and District Courts in matters involving a variety of technologies, including wireless communications, encryption and secure data transmission, semiconductor circuitry, Internet commerce, software, telephony, pharmaceuticals, automotive power train and airbag control systems, injection molding, industrial lighting, and medical devices. Mr. Gennari also has extensive experience in evaluating and drafting patent and high-technology licenses. Mr. Gennari has significant experience with software, semiconductor, business method, and electro-mechanical patents.

Mr. Gennari has significant engineering experience in the aerospace and power generation industries. He worked at General Electric Aircraft Engines and General Electric Power Systems for five years as a mechanical engineer, designing a testing aircraft engine and commercial power generation equipment, respectively. He also worked at United Technologies Pratt & Whitney as a mechanical engineer, performing engineering design and analysis of gas turbine power equipment.
