Paul M. O Connor III

Paul M. O'Connor's litigation practice focuses on complex commercial cases in federal and state courts around the country. Mr. O'Connor has significant experience in class action litigation, representing clients in numerous state-wide, nationwide and foreign class actions. He counsels clients in product liability cases involving highly technical issues with considerable amounts at stake. In addition, he represents software and computer companies in a variety of intellectual property matters, as well as corporations, banks and brokerages in securities and commercial disputes. He also representes corporations and individuals in connection with arbitrations in the United States and Europe. In addition to his extensive trial court experience, Mr. O'Connor has a significant appellate court practice, handling appeals in federal and state appellate courts around the country. As a result of his work, he has been appointed by courts to serve as bankruptcy trustee and as a director of a facility administering large product liability settlements. Mr. O’Connor has also been recognized by The Legal 500 2012 in the area of "Litigation: Trade Secrets."

Prior to joining the firm in 1993, Mr. O'Connor practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and O'Sullivan Graev & Karabell where he represented, among others, Lotus Development Corporation in its successful computer copyright trial against Borland International relating to Lotus 123 and Borland's Quattro product.
