Thomas Stephens is a head of Dentons legacy Tax Advantaged Investments practice. Thomas practice encompasses tax planning and transaction structuring for partnerships limited liability companies corporations and individuals.

Tom’s practice focuses on estate planning, trusts and estates, estate administration, personal income tax, small business planning and state and local taxes.

Tom Lawson has been an active tax law practitioner for over 37 years, and returned to the firm in 2005. His practice focuses on the representation of individuals and their businesses in connection with income and wealth transfer tax planning.

Tom practices in the area of federal and state corporate income tax. He has advised clients on the tax aspects of corporate restructurings, acquisitions, and dispositions and with tax controversies.

Tom is the former Chair of the firm’s business tax group. He routinely provides business counsel and represents and advises private businesses and their owners on matters relating to acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, recapitalizations.
