Rachel S. Janger is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office and a member of the Labor and Employment Practice.
Rachel regularly represents employers before the National Mediation Board, in labor arbitrations, and in Railway Labor Act litigation in federal courts. She also advises clients on collective bargaining and labor issues arising from the bankruptcy of unionized employers.
In addition to her work in the aviation industry, Rachel has spent more than a decade advising and providing training to clients on compliance with state and federal anti-discrimination and other employment laws. Rachel has substantial experience representing clients in Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and wrongful discharge litigation. She also advises clients on termination and discipline decisions, drafts employment agreements and handbooks, and conducts and supervises internal investigations of alleged discrimination.
She is a senior editor of the preeminent treatise on airline labor law, The Railway Labor Act (BNA 2012).
