Rajib’s practice focuses on all aspects of issues facing registered investment advisers and sponsors of registered funds. Rajib has particular experience working with alternative asset managers, including Blackstone/GSO, seeking to access retail investor channels through mutual funds, business development companies, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds and permanent capital vehicles. He has advised other fund sponsors on matters implicating the Investment Company Act and/or the Investment Advisers Act, such as KKR, AMG, Ares Management and Oaktree Capital. He also works extensively with more traditional registered fund sponsors, including OppenheimerFunds, and works closely with the firm’s asset management M&A group on transactions involving registered advisers and funds. In addition, Rajib provides counsel to boards of registered funds, and has substantial experience advising companies on issues relating to social media and cybersecurity.
