Rebecca Davis is a member of Seyfarth Shaw’s Litigation and Environmental Safety and Toxic Torts practice groups. She focuses primarily on environmental law, commercial litigation and real estate litigation.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Davis was an environmental consultant, microbiologist, and insurance adjuster. She now defends and counsels her clients on a wide array of environmental issues, including regulatory compliance, remediation, permitting, due diligence, brownfields, solid and hazardous waste, vapor intrusion and air quality, wetlands, archeological surveys, and alternate energy projects. She also represents clients in both federal and state courts in environmental litigation involving methyl tertiary butyl ether and petroleum releases, CERCLA and RCRA liability, stormwater violations, toxic mold, lead-based paint violations, and property diminution claims.

Ms. Davis is also an experienced litigator, and has handled cases involving class actions, insurance coverage and bad faith, complex contract disputes, corporate liability, personal injury, and collections matters. She also frequently represents commercial landlords and lending organizations in real estate disputes and litigation involving landlord-tenant matters, lease agreements, zoning, evictions, and liens. She has appeared on behalf of multiple clients facing criminal fines and sentences for federal, state law and local law violations.

An active member of the Atlanta community, Ms. Davis volunteers for a number of charitable organizations and has been a coach for the Georgia State University College of Law Mock Trial Team since 2008.
