Rebecca L. Mendez is an associate in Holland & Knight's Miami office and a member of the firm's Real Estate practice.

Ms. Mendez focuses her practice on the representation of institutional lenders in connection with the financing, acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets including retail shopping centers, office buildings, apartment buildings, hotels, warehouse/industrial and mixed‐use properties throughout the United States.

Ms. Mendez also represents institutional lenders in connection with the disposition of distressed real estate assets and distressed loans, working closely with the special asset and REO departments of commercial banks.

She represents institutional lenders in connection with a wide variety of complex commercial real estate transactions involving joint venture acquisitions, property development, community development districts, mortgage‐backed securities, bankruptcy, leasing and property management.

Ms. Mendez also works on various pro bono matters dealing with immigration law, social security disability claims, human rights and international claims.
