Rena Kaminsky

Rena Kaminsky is an associate in the Life Sciences practice group and a member of Cooley's Business department. She joined the Firm in 2006 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.

Ms. Kaminsky's practice involves the representation of biotechnology, medical device, and other life science companies in a wide range of intellectual property and technology-based transactions, including licensing, corporate partnering, technology development, and clinical trials.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kaminsky was a patent agent at a startup biotechnology company and at a small intellectual property firm, where she prosecuted patent applications in technologies including bioinformatics, proteomics, immunology, medical devices, software, and optics.

Ms. Kaminsky received her JD, with distinction, in 2006 from Stanford Law School, where she served as an Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Kaminsky conducted graduate studies in chemical engineering at the University of California at Berkeley under National Science Foundation and Berkeley Fellowships, and received her BS in chemical engineering, summa cum laude, from Yale University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Kaminsky is a member of the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
