I think she is doing a terrific job. Very precise and clarifying the facts so the jury can understand the facts.

Based on many years of working as a paralegal for one of the top criminal attorneys in my area, my opinion is that Erin Eldridge is without question incompetent. Her questioning failed to draw out critical facts which where needed to prove charges. Any relevant facts that were testified to were lost within the hours of wasted testimony that was irrelevant. The witnesses were clearly exasperated that her line of questioning robbed them of the opportunity to testify to facts that would have clearly convinced the jury of Chauvin's guilt. Jurors assume that testimony is relevant and so I believe that it is likely that they will now be confused and end up considering evidence that they should not consider. Chauvin owes Erin Eldridge a thank you note and dozens of flowers for providing him with a Get Out Of Jail Free Card. Don't forget that Chauvin is Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Her questioning exposed testimony that created reasonable doubt.

I thought her tics — the “ums,“ “okays,” and her tentative, grating voice — were just a reflection of the difficulty in eliciting testimony from the child and young adult witnesses. But no. She’s seems completely unprepared in examining the EMTs and the firefighter, and does not seem to know how to ask a question. She should know these questions like the back of her hand. It’s bad.

I disagree with all the comments. I believe she did an amazing job cross examining the ex paramedic lady. Lawyers have a tough job. I think she showed compassion especially with the bystanders. If you see this Erin, you are an amazing person. Thank you for your work on the case.
