Richard has more than 30 years of complex litigation experience in representing and counseling major corporations in virtually every industry. He has tried jury trials in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He focuses on large commercial litigation particularly intellectual property, defamation and employment.

During the past 30 years, Richard has tried more than 100 cases including federal and state complex commercial cases, major class actions involving such issues as reductions-in-force, sexual harassment, ERISA severance claims, trade secret theft, breach of fiduciary duty cases, and NLRB and OFCCP proceedings. He also consults with general counsel, chief executive officers and senior human resource executives at a number of America’s largest corporations.

Richard is listed in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers USA, and The International Who's Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers. He has been named one of the top lawyers in Illinois and Illinois Super Lawyers magazines.
