Richard I. Thomas has more than 35 years of experience in traditional labor relations matters; occupational safety and health law; and federal, state and administrative employment litigation. He has focused his practice in the steel, metals, manufacturing and heavy construction industries.
Dick has been an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and has represented employers in more than 1,000 labor and interest arbitrations. He has been an employer spokesperson in single and multi-employer labor negotiations and has counseled clients about labor contract administration and other day-to-day employment matters. He has tried jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts and in proceedings before administrative agencies, such as the National Labor Relations Board.
He has also testified as an expert in state and federal courts about labor and employment matters.
