Ricky Steelman's commercial litigation practice focuses on the representation of banking institutions, mortgage originators, servicers, trustees, and investors in connection with consumer real estate loans, lender liability, and residential foreclosure. In addition to his extensive experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal court, Mr. Steelman has spent considerable time handling probate litigation, class action defense, and appellate matters.

Mr. Steelman graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was the recipient of a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship. During law school, he served as the coordinator of Sack Lunch Saturday, a monthly service project where students prepared lunches for the less fortunate at the Malibu Labor Exchange. He also served for two years as a Legal Research and Writing teaching assistant to first-year law students. In addition to being the author of Pepperdine University's 11th Annual National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, Mr. Steelman worked as a summer law clerk for the Pepperdine University Office of the General Counsel and a summer associate in the firm's Santa Monica office.
