Robert A. Sacks

Robert Sacks is managing partner of S&C’s Los Angeles office and is responsible for the Firm’s litigation practice on the west coast. He has extensive experience in complex business disputes of all types. He regularly advises clients in the areas of securities and other class action litigation, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, contractual arrangements of all types, the obligations of corporate officers and directors, SEC and internal corporate investigations and intellectual property.

He appears in federal and state courts throughout the United States, in administrative proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, in arbitrations and other types of private dispute resolution proceedings and in Department of Justice and other government investigations.

In the past several years, Mr. Sacks has tried multiple cases, including several jury trials, non-jury trials in Delaware and California, and a trial before a three-person FINRA hearing panel. He also has handled numerous appeals, including in the Ninth, Second, D.C. and Federal Circuits, California Court of Appeals, New York Appellate Division and Delaware Supreme Court.
