Robert is a member of the Financial Industry Group, practicing in the area of Financial Services. Robert focuses his practice on lender or borrower representation in all types of commercial real estate transactions, including land acquisition and development loans, construction loans, permanent loans, subordinated and unsubordinated leasehold financing, convertible mortgages, and other equity participations. His borrower representation has involved dealings with all major banks in the metropolitan D.C. region, as well as major institutional lenders. His legal advice has emphasized title and survey matters, opinion letters, and issues related to securing loans with real estate. He has extensive experience with real estate securitization, including bankruptcy remote special purpose entity requirements and non-consolidation opinion issues.
