Robert Crawford is a counsel in the firm’s Technology Transactions Practice and Technology Companies Group, and co-chair of Goodwin Procter’s Gaming, Gambling and Sweepstakes practice. His practice encompasses a broad range of commercial transactions and technology and intellectual property matters, including technology licensing and transfers; joint venture, collaboration, strategic alliance and joint development transactions; due diligence and counseling in mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions; open source counseling; and counseling of clients on compliance with sweepstakes, Internet marketing and promotional laws. Mr. Crawford is a key contributor to Goodwin Procter's Gaming blog, aimed at helping operating companies, entrepreneurs and investors stay on top of the complex and rapidly shifting legal and regulatory issues affecting gambling and gaming in the United States. He joined Goodwin Procter in 2000.
