Robert R. Feagin III

Robert R. Feagin, III joined Holland & Knight in 1964 and has served in many leadership roles in the firm. From June 2001 – March 2003, he served as Managing Partner. He chaired the Directors Committee, the firm's policy making board, from 1992 to 2001. Prior to becoming chair, he served as a member of Holland & Knight's three-person Management Committee from 1986 to 1991. The last management role he occupied before taking Senior Partner status in 2004 was as the firm's Professional Standards and Loss Prevention Partner, a position he held for over 20 years.

Mr. Feagin organized, and for many years, headed Holland & Knight's Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice. In this capacity, Mr. Feagin was lead counsel for the firm's clients in major antitrust litigation, including the Justice Department's challenge to territorial agreements among electric utilities, a class action suit against a major fast-food franchiser for alleged tying violations, a price-fixing suit involving a national conspiracy among rebar steel manufacturers, an FTC proceeding to block the merger of a major food processor into an international conglomerate, and a monopolization claim against a leading pharmaceutical company by a retail drugstore chain.

Prior to becoming Managing Partner in June 2001, Mr. Feagin also had an active practice with respect to other types of commercial litigation and for many years had a major responsibility in the firm's defense of numerous phosphate mining companies against multi-billion dollar damage claims asserted by a private company and the State of Florida for alleged conversion of phosphate from state-owned land.

In law school, he was a member of the Order of the Coif and executive editor of the Law Review. He has been with Holland & Knight since graduation from law school in December 1964.
