Robert W. Stone

Robert Stone is a partner in Quinn Emanuel's Silicon Valley office. Robert's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. Since joining Quinn Emanuel from Shearman & Sterling in 1997, Robert has represented clients in a wide array of intellectual property matters.

In the intellectual property arena, Robert has litigated and tried cases for clients such as IBM, Cisco, Informatica, Borland, Genentech, Abbott , Roche Molecular Systems, Third Wave Technologies, Avery Dennison, and Delphi Corporation. In connection with such matters, Robert has successfully obtained resolutions by way of summary judgment, dismissal, and/or settlement following favorable claim construction rulings or other pretrial proceedings in cases involving the computer hardware and software, semiconductor, and biotechnology fields.
