Roger Meltzer

Roger Meltzer has practiced corporate and securities law for more than 35 years.

In 2007, upon his arrival at the firm, Roger became Global Chair of the Firm's Corporate and Finance Practice. In 2012, Roger was elected Co-Chairman of the Americas. He is also a member of the firm's Global Board and the US Executive Committee.

Among Roger's clients are corporations, investment banking firms, commercial banks, and private equity and investment funds. He represents his clients in a range of finance transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, public offerings, and public and private placements of debt and equity securities.

Roger acts as counsel to both issuers and underwriters in domestic and international financings and has advised on every type of securities offering, including public and private debt and equity offerings, high-yield offerings, mezzanine and bridge financings, investment-grade debt offerings, acquisition financings and recapitalizations. He also counsels corporations on corporate governance and securities regulation and provides general corporate advice to a number of publicly and privately held companies.

As Global Chair of the Corporate and Finance Practice, Roger coordinates DLA Piper's 1,200 corporate and finance lawyers, operating in 23 offices in the United States and in 44 financial and business centers in 28 other countries worldwide.
