Rosaleen H. Chou

Rosaleen Chou focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, and entertainment law. Ms. Chou helps companies protect their brands by developing global brand procurement and enforcement strategies to protect their trademarks. She helps to educate clients and internal business teams about the importance of protecting trademarks and how do to so in an efficient and cost-effective manner. She has experience with U.S. and international clearance work, managing large global trademark portfolios, and enforcing trademarks rights under U.S. and international trademark laws. Ms. Chou also has significant experience litigating trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Chou also regularly advises clients on matters related to licensing, domain names, social media, copyright protection, DMCA issues, trade secrets, and confidential information. She has experience in a variety of industries and technologies, including consumer electronic products, computer software and hardware, clothing and apparel, telecommunications, social entertainment, sports/energy food and beverage products, wine and alcohol, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and construction/engineering.

While in law school, Ms. Chou interned with the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit dedicated to assisting low-income artists and non-profit arts organizations, where she worked on various litigation and transactional projects in the music, film, and visual art industries. Ms. Chou also interned with Judge Goger in the Fulton County Superior Court. In 2007, she received Litigation Honors from the Georgia State University College of Law.

Prior to law school, Ms. Chou worked as a health economist at Research Triangle Institute where she co-authorized numerous articles related to smoking research. She speaks fluent Taiwanese and conversational Chinese.
