Ruthleen E. Uy

Ruthleen Uy is a registered patent attorney who focuses her practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications primarily in the computer, mechanical and electrical arts including applications directed to computer hardware, computer architecture, telecommunications, mobile communications, voice processing and networks. Additionally, Ms. Uy has experience prosecuting applications directed to memory management including the restoration and recovery of memory data, date compression, data encryption/decryption and data storage. She also has experience in medical devices including medical image processing, and radiation controls.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Uy worked in the Washington, D.C. and then San Diego, California offices of a boutique intellectual property law firm where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications including appearing before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Ms. Uy was nominated in 2013 and 2014 for the San Diego Daily Transcript’s Young Attorney Award.
