Ryan L. Scher is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices. Ms. Scher focuses her practice on litigating patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and related intellectual property matters in both federal and state courts. She has experience drafting and arguing discovery, pretrial, and case-dispositive motions; taking and defending corporate designee, percipient witness, and expert witness depositions; managing day-to-day case activities; drafting and managing discovery; and working with and managing expert witnesses. Ms. Scher also has trial experience, including examining witnesses at trial. She has experience managing pretrail preparation, including drafting and arguing motions in limine and jury instructions, witness preparation, and trial graphics. Ms. Scher has counseled clients regarding pre-litigation strategy, patent portfolio management, and intellectual property licensing issues.

Ms. Scher has handled patent infringement and other IP cases involving key technologies in numerous industries, including software, wireless communications, semiconductor devices, light-emitting diodes, ecommerce, and medical devices. She has also handled cases involving corporate business transactions, counterfeiting, and real estate law.

Ms. Scher is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
