Ryan T. Routh

Ryan Routh's practice focuses on corporate bankruptcy, restructuring, and other insolvency-related matters, and primarily on the representation of debtors in large chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Ryan is well-versed in all aspects of chapter 11 practice and has substantial experience with a variety of industries, including manufacturing, automotive, and airlines and aviation. Notable debtor representations over the past decade include Chrysler, Dana, Hostess, Metaldyne, NexPak, and Plant Insulation.

In addition, Ryan has experience representing private equity funds, secured lenders, creditors' committees, large unsecured creditors, contract parties, and other parties in some of the nation's largest bankruptcy cases. In connection with such nondebtor representations, he has advised, among other parties, banks such as Bank of America, CIT Group/Business Credit, JPMorganChase, PNC Bank (f/k/a National City Bank), and a variety of manufacturers, including Marconi Communications, Park-Ohio, and Timken.

These representations have given Ryan substantial exposure to hot-button issues in modern bankruptcy practice, including supplier and supply chain issues, section 1110 of the Bankruptcy Code, section 503(b)(9) claims, and asbestos bankruptcy issues.

Ryan is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and participates in ABI and other restructuring professional organizations.
