Samantak Ghosh PhD

Samantak Ghosh is an associate who focuses his practice on intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Dr. Ghosh worked as a legal extern with Hon. Judge White of the US District Court for the Northern District of California. He was also a summer associate at a firm where he drafted patent applications and conducted legal research.

While at Stanford University, Dr. Ghosh synthesized artificial nucleotides as tools for basic science studies as well as potential therapeutics. He also investigated the potential of circular DNA in elongating telomeres in vivo and influencing aging and probed radio-labeled artificial nucleotides as potential tumor tracers. At the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Dr. Ghosh developed novel synthetic methods for making organo-metallic compounds with potential catalytic activities.

Prior to obtaining his PhD, Dr. Ghosh was a teaching assistant in the Chemistry Department at Stanford University. He was also a teacher with social welfare organization in Kanpur, India.
