Samir Kaushik represents companies and their executives and directors in securities litigation matters and SEC and DOJ enforcement actions involving allegations of fraud and corruption. His experience includes conducting cross-border internal investigations on behalf of audit committees and boards relating to alleged accounting fraud, FCPA violations, money laundering, and insider trading. He also has advised clients on governance matters, including fiduciary duties, disclosures, and compliance with federal securities, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering laws.

Samir's practice includes litigating and advising clients on hostile takeover attempts, securities fraud actions, shareholder derivative suits, and disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions. Recently, he was part of a team that represented Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan in its successful defense of a $43.1 billion hostile tender offer from BHP Billiton. Additionally, he has prosecuted several cases successfully before judges and juries as a municipal prosecutor through Jones Day's association with the City Attorney Office of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Before law school, Samir worked as a management consultant, advising clients in the aviation, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications industries. He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, and the North American South Asian Bar Association.
