Sara R. Simeonidis counsels and represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination and harassment, retaliation, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and wage and hour issues. She has substantial experience defending employers in state and federal courts and before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

Sara works with employers to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Connecticut Fair Employment Practices Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Family Medical Leave Act. Sara has experience conducting workplace investigations and also counsels employers on hiring, firing and disciplining employees, and developing and revising employment practices and policies.

Sara has successfully defended discrimination and retaliation claims, defeating administrative claims brought before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, obtaining summary judgment in state and federal courts, and successfully obtaining a federal jury verdict in a race retaliation case.

Sara also has experience with complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

Sara is a member of Bingham's Hartford litigation team, which was recognized by theConnecticut Law Tribuneas the 2013 Litigation Department of the Year in the category of out-of-state firms with a Connecticut office.
