Sarah T. Hogan

Sarah Hogan advises clients on negotiation of licensing and strategic collaboration transactions in the health information technology (IT) and life sciences industries. Her experience includes counseling with respect to adoption and commercialization of health IT products and services for both providers and vendors, life sciences licensing, collaborations and strategic alliances, manufacturing, distribution and other commercialization arrangements, software development, outsourcing and other complex commercial transactions.

Sarah represents a range of clients, including start-up companies, venture capital and private equity-backed entities, privately held businesses, hospitals, nonprofit research organizations and large public companies. As a result of this diverse experience, Sarah has a keen view of all sides of a transaction and advises clients on the practical implications of various aspects of each deal, which helps her clients achieve business objectives while balancing legal risk. Sarah also has an in-depth understanding of the implications of each deal on likely downstream transactions; these include, for example, the effects of the terms of a university license on future collaboration deals, financing transactions and acquisitions.

Sarah is a former scientist with degrees in biotechnology and genetics, and she possesses comprehensive life sciences industry knowledge.
