Scott Elder is a co-leader of the firm’s products liability group and represents corporations in complex litigation throughout the country, including consumer class actions, personal injury cases and commercial matters. Recent cases include defending a nationwide restaurant chain against allegations of consumer fraud and defending a leading provider of wireless phone service against claims that cell phones cause adverse health effects. Mr. Elder frequently litigates cutting-edge scientific evidence issues involving pharmaceuticals, electronic products, foods and beverages, and building products and is experienced in multidistrict mass tort litigation. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review and the Order of the Coif.
