Scott Sugino is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Tokyo office and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Scott’s practice focuses on the representation of international companies and investment funds in mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, distressed company transactions and public and private placements of securities. Scott also counsels public company clients on governance, securities laws compliance and other general corporate matters.

Scott has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and has helped clients in a wide range of projects in Asia and the United States, from U.S. technology companies doing large scale acquisitions in Japan and Southeast Asia, to Japanese companies making strategic investments in American and Chinese clean technology and life science companies.
