Sean Muntz has more than ten years of experience advising clients as a trial and appellate lawyer. His practice spans a broad range of subject matters, including banking, general commercial, real estate, employment, securities, maritime, and environmental disputes.

Mr. Muntz began his career in 2002 as a litigator with a full-service business law firm in Long Beach, Calif. He joined Bryan Cave’s Irvine, Calif. office as a labor and employment lawyer and litigator in 2005. Since joining the firm, Mr. Muntz has handled a wide variety of litigation, appellate, and advisory matters for clients in industries including aerospace and defense, financial services, manufacturing, technology, and real estate development.

In 2005, Mr. Muntz was seconded to a Fortune 100 aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor as in-house counsel. During his tenure, he represented the company in internal and external investigations and compliance matters. As part of that assignment, Mr. Muntz represented the company as a victim of espionage in the criminal matter of U.S. v. Chung, in which the U.S. District Court handed down the first conviction under the Economic Espionage Act of 1996.

In 2008, Mr. Muntz was assigned by the firm to work for a Fortune 100 financial institution as in-house counsel. There, Mr. Muntz managed and directed the strategies of hundreds of matters across the country, most significantly overseeing outside counsel in the successful overturning of an order halting all foreclosures in the state of Utah.

For more than five years, Mr. Muntz has been responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of approximately 15 attorneys handling financial services litigation and appeals.
