Sean M. Akins

Sean Akins, an associate in the Washington, D.C. office, specializes in tax controversy and tax litigation matters. Mr. Akins's practice involves counseling both corporate and individual clients as to the resolution of tax controversies at all levels of tax administration and in court. He also assists clients in responding to congressional and administrative tax investigations.

Mr. Akins is active in the ABA Section of Taxation, where he is involved with the Court Practice and Procedures Committee and served as Co-Vice Chair of the Insurance Companies Committee from 2010-2011. He is also an Associate Member of the J. Edgar Murdock American Inns of Court (US Tax Court).
