Shannon Yavorsky is a partner in Venable's national Privacy and Data Security practice. She counsels clients on a broad range of U.S. and European data privacy issues, including cross-border data transfer, data breaches, and global privacy compliance. She has significant experience with European Commission standard contractual clauses, data privacy policies, website terms, data processing agreements, and advising clients on self-certifying to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.

Ms. Yavorsky’s practice also focuses heavily on contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and information technology. She advises private equity firms, investment banks, and Fortune 500 companies on the IP and technology aspects of mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate reorganizations, and IP securitizations, in a broad range of industry sectors, including software and hardware, fashion, retail, consumer goods, travel services, hospitality, manufacturing, and telecommunications.
