Sharon, a partner in the Labor & Employment group, focuses her practice on representing employers, including domestic and foreign financial institutions and their boards of directors, in all aspects of employment law. Her practice includes defending employers against discrimination, compensation and other employment claims before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, fair employment practices agencies, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and other regulatory agencies, and in mediations.
In addition, Sharon regularly advises on employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions, significant restructurings and downsizings, discrimination, sexual harassment and workplace bullying claims and investigations, and employee misconduct, and provides training on these and related topics. She also drafts and negotiates employment and separation agreements, retention and consulting agreements, and employee handbooks and policies, and provides guidance on issues related to U.S. employees working abroad and on the application of U.S. employment laws to expatriate employees working in the United States. She is a frequent lecturer and author on topics including investigating sexual harassment, discrimination and workplace bullying claims, and on innovative workplace practices.
