Shawn Cobb is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Department. Mr. Cobb focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, typically representing major corporations and governmental entities in multi-year lawsuits involving significant damage claims. Mr. Cobb has also counseled and successfully represented clients in a wide range of other matters, including alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, professional misconduct, violations of labor, escrow and insurance law, accountings and dissolutions of closely held corporations and representations before the International Trade Commission.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cobb spent five years providing consulting services to the US defense and intelligence communities, primarily in the areas of quantitative risk analysis and mitigation. Mr. Cobb served for nine years in the US Army Reserve as a Military Intelligence Corps officer, both as the Battalion Intelligence Officer for the Eleventh Psychological Operations Battalion, Second PSYOP Group and as a tactical intelligence officer with the National Ground Intelligence Center.

Mr. Cobb is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California and all California state courts. Mr. Cobb is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
