Sheila R. Gibson focuses her practice on intellectual property transactions, with an emphasis on intellectual property portfolio strategy and management, including domestic and international patent protection in the biotechnology, medical device, mechanical, environmental, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and related industries.

Her practice also includes counseling and opinion work related to patentability, right-to-practice and product-launch, investor due diligence and licensing. Ms. Gibson’s technical emphasis is in biotechnology (microbiology and molecular genetics, immunology, cellular biology, molecular biology and pharmaceuticals); medical devices and procedures (diagnostics, sensors and instrumentation); and environmental technology (clean and alternative energies).
