Solomon J. Noh

Solomon J. Noh, a partner in the Financial Restructuring & Insolvency Group, has an inter-disciplinary practice with involvement in derivatives, financing and mergers & acquisitions, all with a focus on distressed and bankruptcy situations, particularly of a cross-border nature. Mr. Noh was recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” in the Restructuring and Insolvency-US section of the 2013 IFLR 1000 – The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms and as a “Rising Star” in the 2014 edition.

Mr. Noh’s position is unique in that he is a US bankruptcy lawyer operating in the London market. Mr. Noh’s recent focus has been on the representation of hedge funds and other asset managers in the assessment of investment opportunities and trading execution in relation to European distressed situations. Mr. Noh also regularly represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court restructurings and cross-border insolvencies, and also advises lenders in various types of financing transactions. Mr. Noh, who began practicing in 2000, joined Shearman & Sterling in 2002.
